A senior Indonesian police investigator revealed yesterday that Singapore was a potential target for extremist groups in Indonesia and they had singled out the Orchard MRT station. He told The Straits Times that the Orchard station had been circled on a map of the MRT network found in the home of a terror suspect killed last week. He also added that, Singapore is obviously a target and they planned to enter Singapore through Malaysia.
No matter if this news is true or not, Singaporeans should be prepared for the worst. SMRT should also take precautions in case it really happen. Also, because of this news, businesses in Orchard might be affected. People tend to avoid going there that often, unless the whole thing is over and its confirm safe to be there.
